Architect John Roberts receives HFW’s Purple Heart Award for his service as Board Chairman
Author and publisher of the award-winning website Architecture in Fort Worth and its message board Fort Worth Forum, John Roberts has led Historic Fort Worth, Inc. as its board chairman for six years. Born and reared in Fort Worth, John is a graduate of UTA with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in architecture, and he practices his profession at Halbach-Dietz Architects. However, it is his focus on Fort Worth’s great buildings through his website and his work at HFW to find their future that sets him apart, which explains why he received the Fort Worth Business Press’ Top 100 award for architecture in 2017. For his unwavering principles, his participation in public meeting after public meeting, and his hope to save what matters to Fort Worth’s unique historic identity, John Roberts more than deserved to receive HFW’s Purple Heart of Preservation Award.
