Thistle Hill (1904) located at 1509 Pennsylvania Avenue. Immerse yourself in turn of the century opulence. This commanding mansion, with a glistening green tile roof and massive limestone columns, was built by an heir of one of Texas’ great ranching dynasties. The Georgian Revival mansion is filled with 19th and 20th century furnishings, and the expansive, manicured grounds feature an elegant tea house and a rare “transitional” carriage house, designed for both horses and autos.
Thistle Hill is one of Fort Worth’s earliest designated local landmarks. Thistle Hill is a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark and is listed in the National Register of Historic places.
