Q: How will I know the addresses of there gardens?

A: The addresses of the gardens are written on the tickets. Also, there will be a map of the gardens inside the official tour booklet.

Q: Which garden should I visit first?

A: If you have a physical ticket, you can present it at any of the gardens on the tour where you will then receive your official tour booklet. Your booklet will become your ticket to visit the remainder of the gardens. Gardens may be visited in any order.

Q: If I purchase a ticket online, will I receive a physical ticket?

A: No. After you purchase on line, you will be given the address of the “Will Call” garden, where you will need to take a print out of your ticket purchase to the check-in table. From there, you will be given your official tour booklet which will become your ticket to visit the remainder of the gardens.

Q: How long does the tour take?

A: You will set your own pace for the tour and decide how long you stay in each garden. Generally it takes 15 to 20 minutes to visit each garden.

Q: How far away are the gardens on the tour from one another?

A: Most gardens are within a few blocks of each other (some closer).

Q: Is parking available?

A: Parking along the street is available at each garden.

Q: What is the policy on children attending other tour?

A: All guests, regardless of age, must have their own ticket. The only exception is infants in baby carriers. Strollers may not be taken past the check in table. If children attend, please supervise them well. It is a privilege to be in these gardens.

Q: Are any discounted tickets available?

A: Yes, current Historic Fort Worth, Inc. members are offered an early-bird discount on a maximum of 2 tickets if purchased by a certain date. Check the website for details.

Q. Is there a maximum number of tickets that can be purchased? 

A: No, but the tour does have a limited number of tickets that will be sold. Once that number is reached, ticket sales will be stopped. Please check the website to see if the tour is sold out. 

Q: Is photography allowed?

A: Yes, but our garden owners prefer that photos are of their plants only. Please be respectful of their privacy.

Q: Are food and beverages allowed?

A: Food is not allowed. Complimentary bottled water is available at each garden. Also, on occasion, there may be some complimentary refreshments at one of the gardens.

Q: Will there be anyone present to answer questions about the plants in the gardens?

A: Yes, usually a Master Gardener is present in each garden.

Q: Are restrooms available?

A: No, but stores and/or service stations are usually nearby.

Q: What is your cancellation and refund policy?

A: Please be aware that our tour is held rain or shine. There are no cancellations or refunds.

Q: Can I get reservations to go to the Sunset Tour and Patron Dinner?

A: Yes, if it is not sold out. Please check the HFW website or call 817-336-2344 x 100 for more information.

Q: What happens to the proceeds from the Hidden Gardens of Fort Worth Tour?

A: Hidden Gardens is an annual fundraiser for Historic Fort Worth, Inc. HFW was founded in 1969 and the garden tour was initiated in 2004. Proceeds from the organization’s fundraising events benefit city-wide preservation programs as well as the maintenance and restoration of the 1899 Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House, where the organization is headquartered.
