Don't let this become the norm!

Your donation today helps us preserve Fort Worth’s unique history for the future.

Within the state of Texas, Fort Worth is second to San Antonio with the highest number of landmarked buildings.   Unless Fort Worth’s rich architectural and cultural heritage is landmarked, it is always at risk of demolition.

At a variety of public meetings Historic Fort Worth, Inc. advocates for the best outcome for historic buildings.  We help others understand that historic buildings are vulnerable to zoning changes, new traffic patterns, limited parking and a myriad of other changes.

HFW has been recognized by non-profits and governmental entities for its dedication to preservation.  Examples of those awards include the Texas Society of Architects in 2004, a Preservation Texas Award in 2005, the 2009 Governor’s Award, the AIA Community Award in 2014, and the Tarrant County Historical Commission’s Vandergriff Award in 2014.

Additionally, HFW maintains and restores the 1899 Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House for its headquarters and for the public to use for their private events.  We actively seek partners to step in and save treasures throughout the city like what recently happened with the Kimbell Milling Company Building, the R. Vickery Elementary School, the Public Market and countless other historic properties.

Your support enables us to continue this vital work—saving Fort Worth’s past for future generations. By donating today, you are making a direct and lasting impact on the city’s history. Join us in protecting Fort Worth’s architectural legacy!
