In October 2023, we were delighted to once again feature the amazing works of those who did needlepoint and cross-stitch at A Needle Art Love Story, Chapter X at the Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House. Both needlepoint and cross-stitch gave the stitcher an avenue for self-expression and were challenging and rewarding in their own rights. It was like painting with a needle. Over the past 9 years, our exhibit featured over 654 stitchers and contained more than 6024 pieces on display from private collections. These artisans, some from across the state, created elaborate needlepoint pieces for every holiday, occasion, and reason.
The Party with the Stitchers honored HFW’s Featured Stitcher, Kendal Perryman, the participating stitchers, donors, and sponsors. We honored these talented artisans who created these amazing treasures showcased in the exhibit by becoming Host Committee members. Host sponsorship included your name listed as a Patron Supporter on the invitation, listing in the commemorative booklet, one reservation to the Party with the Stitchers on October 4, plus your admittance to the exhibit all 4 days, October 5 – October 8.
