According to tax records, this house dates from 1910. The first recorded owner is Fred Wohlenberg, an engineer, who did not occupy the house. Wohlenberg sold the house in 1934 to James Turner. The two-story house has a flaring hipped roof with wide soffits; an unusual two-story central hipped portico with square columns below and Tuscan columns on the second floor projects from the house block.
