Davies House – Fairmount

This is an early example of brick construction for a small house, built c. 1907 by Arthur Davies as his own residence. Davies was a brickmason. With further documentation, in particular Davies’ importance as a builder, the house may be eligible for the National Register. The Davies House is a contributing resource in the Fairmount-Southside Historic District. It received a two-story addition and other alterations in 2005-06 but retains much of its historic integrity.
