Tax records are not clear concerning this property. The gabled wood-framed duplex with twin gabled porches was probably built by Robert C. Hansen, Jr. in 1942, at the same time as the neighboring duplex (1011-13 E. Cannon Street). It does not exhibit the compositional clarity of the other structure.
