Duringer House – Ryan Place

This house was built in 1922 for Dr. William C. Duringer, a prominent surgeon who maintained a private practice in Fort Worth for nearly 50 years. The Duringer family lived here until 1955. It is a two-story structure clad in smooth stucco painted white, with red-tiled hipped roof. It is rectangular in plan with blocky massing, A balanced front elevation consists of a slightly projecting end bay on the north and roof-terraced conservatory on the south. It has a full front terrace and a, transomed entry with quoined and pedimented cast stone surround. It is sited on a large double lot. The house’s design has been attributed to Wiley G. Clarkson. The Duringer House has been painted light blue.
