Hall House – Hemphill

This two-story brick house with low-slung hipped roof shows influences of the Prairie Style, particularly the deep-set porch supported by massive brick columns with slab capitals. Dr. Edwin P. Hall, a surgeon and obstetrician, had the house built in 1924. The Halls lived here until 1970. With further documentation to discover the identity of the architect or builder, and to assess the building’s integrity, it may be eligible for the National Register. The Hall House has been demolished.
