Tucker Building – Dreiss

The Tucker Building is a two-story rectangular brick structure with a flat roof and parapet trimmed in pressed metal simulating Spanish tile. A flat-roofed portico projects from the side wall, sheltering a sidelit entry with elliptical fanlight. Double-hung and casement windows on the second story (some of which are boarded up) have leaded diamond panes. The original storefront has been altered. The building was erected c. 1923 for Albert N. Tucker, who for many years ran a grocery store here and lived upstairs. It is now given over completely to apartments. The Tucker Building has been demolished.
