June 1 Your list of 10 – 20 recipients of an invitation to the Party with the Artists is due. Click here  to enter your guest info on the web. Or complete and return this Excel Spreadsheet template.
July 10

Each artist may promote one piece of artwork in the printed catalog. You can choose either your “Stories of the City” piece or a work from the general exhibition.

  • If you choose to promote your “Stories of the City” piece, you may include up to 100 words of descriptive text alongside the title, medium, and artist name.

  • All other catalog entries will include only the title, artist, medium, and an image.

If you cannot make the delivery, you may send someone else—but please be sure they are prepared to proof and approve your wall labels.

Thursday, September 10 6:15 to 9 pm

Party with the Artists: Arrive at at the venue no later than 5:00 p.m.  Participating artists receive a complimentary invitation, and one guest may attend at the reduced rate of $75; additional tickets are at the member rate of $175.

Friday September 11 Show Opens: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Saturday September 12 Fall Gallery Night: We hope you will drop by between noon and 9:00 p.m.
Sunday, September 13, at 2:00 Artwork pick up is 2:00 – 5:00 pm at the venue.  If you cannot make the pickup, you may send someone else—but let us know in advance that it is OK to release your work to the person you designate. EXHIBIT CATEGORIES (SUBMITTED ART MUST BE NEW WORK.)

You may submit work for any or both two categories below:

Primary Category All works must fit within a 3’ x 6’ space (frame included.) ·   The committee reserves the right to remove some works if the space is too crowded.
Stories from the City© Category (Optional) You may bring one additional optional work with a ‘preservation’ theme, which may be interpreted however you wish. ·   Must provide narrative text (up to 100 words) to display with work, due July 1.
Framing etc. Work should be well presented in a neat gallery wrap or an appropriate frame. ·   Work must be ready to hang, with wire or D-rings. ·   Damaged or weak glass or frames will not be accepted at check-in. ·   Decisions of the committee in terms of proper presentation, etc. are final.
Pricing The minimum acquisition price a patron pays is $125 per painting.  Ex. If you set the acquisition price at $125, this means you set the Fair Market Value at $81.25, which you will receive, and the buyer will be making a $43.75 charitable gift to HFW.
