Although the early history of this house is not known, tax records indicate that it was built about 1918. The square plan, one-story house has a steeply pitched hipped roof penetrated by a large central dormer. The central entry also has a hipped roof supported by Tuscan columns. A number of tenants occupied the house until 1937, when Floyd F and Cora Murphy bought it. They lived here until 1964. The house was demolished after it sustained serious fire damage, but is retained in this report for purposes of documentation.
