Hamilton Apartments – Hemphill

The Hamilton Apartments is a two-story U-plan apartment building clad in red brick, with flat-topped hipped roofs clad in green tile. Entries open onto the central court. Rectangular windows trimmed with cast stone are set regularly in the walls. A two-story gabled portico projects from the south wall, and small gabled dormers containing attic vents are set on each roof slope. The overall feeling of the composition is vaguely Colonial Revival. It was built c. 1926 and first called the Hamilton Apartments. The Hamilton Apartments are vacant and only partially boarded up, exposing the interior to the elements.
