Sited on a corner, this one-story wood-framed house with rectangular plan has a hipped roof and clapboard siding. A full recessed porch is treated as a shingled arcade, with shallow arches springing from brick pedestals. A gabled portico, one bay wide, with similar detailing, extends from one side. The house was built c. 1908 and used for many years as a rental property. This house is a contributing resource in the Fairmount-Southside Historic District (local and national). The attic has been converted to living space with the addition of gabled dormers. The lower photo was taken in 2001.
