Jameson’s Service Station – 25th

Taking the place of an earlier station, this independent gas station was constructed in 1932 for I. R. Jameson by M. J. McMullen and Co. at a cost of $500. A gable roof covers the simple rectangular structure, clad in narrow-milled wood siding. Jameson’s Service Station was followed in 1933 by System Service Station; the name has changed a number of times since. No longer an independent, the station continues to serve its original purpose. A new canopy at the front obscures the building.
