Contractor W. E. Brown built this one-story residence for Dr. William C. Clark, a dentist, and his wife, Flossie Elizabeth, in 1937. Compositional elements of an arcaded entry porch and asymmetrical cross gables combine with rough polychrome sandstone veneer to successfully revive the image of a period European cottage.
