Phenix House – Henderson

This restored house is an excellent example of a recurring residential type in early 20th-century Fort Worth and Tarrant County, a one-story wood-framed structure with hipped roof and full recessed front porch. It was built c. 1911 for Herbert C. Phenix, a buyer for the Monnig Dry Goods Co. The Phenix family owned the house through the 1970s. The Phenix House is a contributing resource in the Fairmount-Southside Historic District.
