Six storefronts open on to the street. The first tenant listed in the 1928 city directory was Meadowbrook Pharmacy operated by A.N. Melton. The following year the Meadowbrook Beauty Shop, Meadowbrook Cleaners and J.F. Holmes Grocery joined the pharmacy at this location. A sidewalk stamp indicates that the contractor for this development was the Miller Construction Company; the owner was Albert L. Brinn of Dallas County.
