The Cantwell Apartments is a two-story four-unit wood-framed apartment building, rectangular in plan with a gabled roof. The front façade has a two-story recessed entry/balcony flanked by rows of small-paned double-hung windows. Asbestos siding has been applied to the walls. The building is a rare local example of a “bungalow styled” apartment structure. It was built c. 1922, possibly by Frank Cantwell, a carpenter who was the original owner, and advertised as the Cantwell Apartments.
