The La Salle Apartments is a complex of mirror-image buildings flanking a central court. Each building is two and one-half stories in height, rectangular in plan, with cross-gabled roofs and brick veneer walls. Half-timbering occurs in gable ends and dormers. Built c. 1927, it is very similar in planning and design to several other apartment complexes in the Southside (for examples, see 2100-06 Forest Park Boulevard and 1101-07 Fairmount Avenue [since demolished]). The La Salle Apartments are contributing resources in the Fairmount-Southside Historic District (national and local). The Carillon Group of Dallas completed a sensitive rehabilitation of the apartments in 2006.
